How messed up is it that truth has continued to devolve into a whirling sargasso of shit? Uh, pretty messed up.
In this metal reboot of the classic Depeche Mode song, Styggy D bemoans the fact that Depeche Mode probably couldn't have guessed just how fucked up things have gotten in the world.
I mean, Animal Farm looks tame in comparison. George Orwell isn't even bothering to roll over in his grave because it's not worth the effort. His ghost doesn't even mouth "I told you so..." because it's probably only going to get worse.
Anyway, trying to jump on the dystopian bandwagon, Stygian Depths repurposes this relatively innocent tune to make the misguided comparison to the putrefaction of objective reality everywhere.
